Spray tan

  • If you have psoriasis, eczema or dermatitis (because the solution will be darker on the affected areas)
  • Hypersensitive skin
  • Infectious skin conditions – fungal, viral bacterial
  • Cuts and abrasions on the area
  • Immediately after heat or sensitising treatment such as waxing epilation or sauna
  • Respiratory conditions may be aggravated by the fumes
  • You are pregnant (risk of uneven pigmentation in the skin)
  • Some medications stop the tan developing e.g. steroids, strong anti-biotics and chemotherapy
  • Sensitive skin due to sunburn.

Facial therapy / Swedish massage / eye treatments and waxing

  • Cuts and abrasions on the skin’s surface
  • Scar tissue less then six months' old
  • Recent sunburn
  • Any undiagnosed lumps or swellings
  • Severe eye infections
  • Any bacterial, fungal or viral infections
  • Conjunctivitis
  • Severe bruising to the area
  • A known allergic reaction
  • Any loss of sensation in the face, dropped muscle contour or speech impediments
  • Cancer – please check with your GP
  • Insulin-dependent diabetes – please check with your GP
  • Pregnancy - please check with your GP or midwife
  • Epilepsy - please check with your GP.


  • Athlete’s foot
  • Paronychia (bacterial infection of the nail fold)
  • Whitlow (small abscesses at the side of base of the nail)
  • Parasitic infections such as scabies
  • Verrucas Vulgaris common wart (area to be covered by suitable waterproof dressing)
  • Verrucas Plantaris Verruca of the foot (area to be covered by suitable waterproof dressing)
  • Onycholyis (nail has separated from the nail bed)
  • Ingrowing nails.
